About

Welcome to Bocconi-Student International Law Society.

This is the first student association at Bocconi School of Law. Inspired by the experience of the United States universities, by their prolific, active and flourishing student world, this organization aims to emulate that world and create the same creative, stimulating and challenging university environment. With a total new approach to the law and its applications, this society would be the means for students fond of international law to give concrete expression to their interests. Our goal is to go beyond the mere theoretical study of International law, to be actively involved, in a new dialectic between professors and students.

More concretely, our organization will be dedicated to organizing conferences and seminars, focusing every semester on particular international law themes, inviting scholars and experts from all around the world. We would like to cooperate with the faculty in organizing together all the international events with a more participative and positive approach. Through our association we want to be able to collaborate in shaping our international law classes, setting seminars, presentations and other contributions from guest lecturers.

In addition to this, our society will be the forum to discuss and have advice regarding international opportunities, like internships, international moot courts, competitions and similar events. In this way we would provide an important benchmark to students who want to enrich their curriculum with international experiences.

From an international relations perspective, we also aim to create an international network and to enforce our law school international connections with foreign universities, making the international students coming to Bocconi involved in our group and activity, concretely taking advantage of this unique occasion of confrontation and dialogue. In this way we intend to create a very important and fruitful exchange of ideas, legal views and that would enormously enrich and open the law students' views.

Finally, we have the ambitious goal to give our experience and learning a concrete shape in articles and research papers.

This is a turning point for our School of Law, a landmark step that we should be proud to finally make.
